The Exhibit
On a recent trip to New York City I mixed little street shooting with soul searching. Growing up just outside on New York City and fortunate enough to have parents who appreciated art. We made regular trips to the museums giants. We saw solo exhibits featuring Caulder, Pollock, Michelangelo, all the variants, all mediums, and ethnicity. This went on for years, and years, and years.
These visits influenced my life, my career. It was especially exciting to be a child of the sixties. To experience the renaissance in art, music and science which were happening at that time. There was innovation. There were think tanks. People got enriched and they got rich.
There was a work ethic back then that carried over to the corporate expansion of the 80’s. Today the greatest art influencers are the film industry and social media. The big and the small. Art, music and science are now all rolled into one. We can spontaneously share ideas, at least for a while.
